If you are in a hurry to learn about or revise the basic concepts of Schenkerian analysis for an exam or project, the panicGUIDE is a slimmed-down version of the most important bits from SchenkerGUIDE. It offers a step-by-step guide in contrast to the non-linear presentation of the main part of the site.
The first two sections below review the basic concepts in order to allow you to progress to the 'how to' section of the site if you need to. Don't forget to go back to the home page to follow other links if you have time. The glossary in the red bar at the top might be useful if you cannot remember what a particular term means.
Good luck with whatever you are panicking about!
